Fashion Discovery London - a platform where stars are born

Among them were Stefanos Dimoulas, Zachariah Smith, Marcin Siwicki, Raahim Khan, Maxwell Agbede, Georges Berthonneau, Reuben Collins, Blu Chegini, Reiss BoyceAbi Lindsay (Abigail) with John Paul Shepard, and many others.  The showcase continued to serve as a testing ground for international brands entering the UK market and supported designers at the next stage of their professional growth.

This season’s edition placed a strong emphasis on neurodiversity, with a particular focus on raising awareness and support for people with dyslexia. The showcase demonstrated how fashion can serve as a powerful tool for education, inclusion, and social impact.

A Showcase of International Designers

This show marked the official debut of designer Marva Nazari, who presented her first-ever collection and her first appearance before a major international audience. Nazari is a fashion designer with a multicultural background shaped by Afghan, Ukrainian, and Pakistani influences.

Among the participating designers was Thira Taf - a non-traditional fashion brand from Greece redefining elegance through an edgy, movement-driven aesthetic. Inspired by the feeling of being “sweaty from dancing,” the brand explores the dynamic interaction of latex materials, creating garments that respond fluidly to the body in motion.

The international lineup also included Aql & Nafs, a brand rooted in Afghan heritage and craftsmanship. Historically created by nomadic artisans using natural shearling and passed down through generations, the iconic Afghan coat has long existed at the intersection of culture and style. During the 1960s and 1970s, it became a symbol of counterculture, worn by cultural icons such as The Beatles, Jimi Hendrix, and later David Bowie.Today, as Afghan design elements re-emerge across international fashion, Aql & Nafs brings the coat back to its origins—reinterpreted through the hands of Afghan women and retold with respect for tradition, identity, and continuity.

Another key participant was Art Chase Series by Marlon James-Edwards, a dyslexic entrepreneur and advocate for neurodiversity. Through education and fashion, Marlon James-Edwards works to normalise neurodivergence and challenge stigmas surrounding dyslexia. He is the recipient of the British Dyslexia Association’s Inspirational Teacher Award 2024. More information: www.artchaseries.com
